This Week in Fashion: 26th-30th September

Week or fortnight? Apologies for the hiatus.

1) Faux Fashionista

Quite intrigued by Kanye West’s ‘fashion’ show tomorrow night at Paris Fashion Week. He’s rumoured to have employed a host of Central Saint Martin students (who are just gagging to drop the big K on their cv) to help make the collection and is housing them in a disused club (amaze). Shell suits? Bling? Haute couture? Well, we know he's been spotted buying zips in Whitechapel. Let's just hope for a bloody good soundtrack.

2) Catwalk clone

A brief interlude at work yesterday allowed for a speedy online trawl for some new pieces to purchase. An eagle-eyed colleague made the discovery of this Topshop knit, an old doppelganger for the Celine masterpiece don't you think? Save yourself hundreds of bucks and head down to the slopshop.

3) Carven a heart-shaped hole

Paris Fashion Week kicked off with Balenciaga who brought the house down (literally - benches broke and editors were forced to OMG *stand*) and man-of-the-moment Guillaume Henry (who belongs to Carven.) Alexa loves him, I love him and you can buy him at Shop at Bluebird. Leggy and cheeky.

4) Fresh Meat

It's not remotely fashionable but Jack Whitehall has done a complete 180 in my eyes, going from hated to hailed, in his reincarnation as JP in E4's new sitcom Fresh Meat. Okay, so I recks he's playing himself ( on a permanent Gap Yah) but he's probably the best thing on the box since Chandler. Such a faux-lad. And while I thoroughly enjoy Sunday evenings with Cousin Matthew, FM brings me back to 21st century reality with socially awkward moments and over-usage of the word chunder.
