Meet Leandra Medine, otherwise known as the Man Repeller.
She's built a hugely popular site on 'outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex'. Genius, although somewhat ironic as she's blatantly gorgeous and in my eyes, dresses impeccably.
Anyway, perusing her 'repelling' outfits lead me to ponder the joys of dressing to please the boy. Living with two heterosexual males, I've recently learned that I fail miserably in this task.
Key sartorial sins have included the maxi (a pillowcase), the midi (too schoolmistress) and the fedora (who are you, Zorro?)
And don't even get me started on the footwear. Uggs and you're made out of gingerbread. Knee high boots and it's a green light for the red light. And just in case you're wondering, red lipstick is a massive no-no.
Luckily at the grand age of 24, I've had to accept my taste (questionable as it may be) for me and roll with my oversized girl-who-likes-to-dress-as-a-boy vibe. I just wish I had come up with Man Repeller myself.
