The Sixties is definitely having a revival.
On the catwalk, the likes of Burberry and Prada gave a nod to swinging coats, knee high boots and outer eyeliner and now on our screens, Karen Gillan is set to play Jean Shrimpton in a BBC4 biopic 'We'll Take Manhatten'.
Out later this year, the film will detail her four year love affair with David Bailey after meeting on a shoot. Shrimpton went on to become one of the icons of that decade and is credited for bringing thigh-high hemlines to the masses (hear, hear)
With her penchant for short shifts and that same glorious hair, I think Gillan is set to star. And if these recent Vogue pictures taken by Mr Bailey himself are anything to do with it, there may be an icon of her own in the making.
