1.Hat's off for the funny boys
When it comes to men, I'm more than partial to a dose of humour as opposed to reliable/employed/nice and all those other qualities that mother deems important. And this week flew the flag for the merry men in town.
Exhibit A - David Walliams, aka, FUNNY, celebrating his 40th birthday with astoundingly beautiful wife Lara Stone. Looking happy, fresh and well like the cat that's got the cream.
Exhibit B - The Inbetweeners gang. They smashed box office records on the opening weekend with their flipping hilarious movie (as in, so farcical that it actually hurt to watch it) and so hopefully are going to make gazillions of money, get the girls and all that.
2. It's BACK
Now that all that rioting has died down, the British public can turn their attention to more important things in their life - like reality tv! While CBB goes without a mention (11 years later, I'm done), it's the X Factor that's already got everyone talking.
And the key elements are in place - the new panel of judges (annoying, American, unknown and well, pretty good), the contestant that everyone already hates, the odd racial outburst and let's not forget the superstar 16 year old. Admittedly though, she's actually quite good.

3. Hi Flo
Florence is back - with a new tune and a new look. Gracing the cover of Japanese Vogue, Flo experiments with the ever-controversial gender play trend in a mannish Ralph Lauren suit. A little oriental, a little Karen Elson, a little Elvis.
4. Word Press
The Concise English Dictionary celebrated its 100th anniverary this year and announced that modern vocabularly such as 'retweet', 'sexting' and 'jeggings' have been chosen for inclusion in the 12th edition. The fashion world already has it's own lingo; and it's now slowly encroaching into the sensible language of others.
My favourite this week - the blirt - hybrid of shirt and blouse (that one goes to Grazia naturally)
